Lori Newman currently serves as the District Coordinator of Exceptional Student Education & Student Services for the Madison County School District.  She is a life long resident of Madison and attended Madison County Schools.  She graduated from Madison County High School in 1992.  She received her Associates of Arts degree from North Florida Junior College, Bachelors of Arts in Special Education from University of North Florida, and her Masters in Educational Leadership from Florida A & M University.  Ms. Newman has worked in the Madison County School District for 21 years.  She is married to Isaac Newman of Madison and has three children who keep her busy in her free time.

Melissa Cherry

Melissa Cherry is a lifelong resident of Madison County. She graduated from Madison County High School in 1993 then attended Florida A&M University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Cherry began her teaching career at Pinetta Elementary School then transferred to Madison County Central School as the MTSS/RTI Specialist. She loved school so much she went back and earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership at Saint Leo University  She is currently working in the Exceptional Student Education Department as a Staffing/Program Specialist for Madison Creative Arts Academy and EXCEL Alternative Education Center. Mrs. Cherry has been married to her highschool sweetheart for 22 years. They have three children, three dogs, and three cats. As a family they enjoy camping, crafting, and serving in their community.

Leigh McNutt

Leigh Sherrard McNutt was born and raised in Madison, FL and attended Madison County Schools. She attended Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education and a Master Degree in Educational Leadership.

Leigh has been employed with Madison County School District since 1995 and has served in the positions of, Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, First Grade Teacher and currently as an Exceptional Student Education Staffing/Program Specialist for the District PreK Program, Lee Elementary School, Pinetta Elementary School, Greenville Elementary School and Kindergarten at Madison County Central School.

Leigh is married to Kevin McNutt and has two children, Dalton 10 and Savannah 10 who attend Madison Creative Arts Academy. She is an active member of the First Baptist Church in Madison, Florida.

Nicole Miller

Nicole Miller currently serves as the ESE Staffing Specialist for the Madison County School District in the Department of Juvenile Justice Programs. She is a graduate of Miami Killian Senior High School. She received her Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Exceptional Student Education from Florida State University, where she discovered her passion for working with incarcerated youth. Ms. Miller is dedicated to helping make sure our youth, especially those who need us the most, reach their potential as responsible, caring, and positive adults and has worked with incarcerated youth for the past four years. In her free time she enjoys going to the beach, going on adventures with her dog, and traveling. 

Melinda Richie

Melinda Richie currently serves as the ESE Staffing and Program Specialist for the Madison County Central School.  She is a graduate of Charlton County High School in Folkston, GA.  She received her Bachelors of Science in Special Education and Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University as well as her Masters in Special Education and Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University.  Mrs. Richie began her career in Brooks County as a Special Education teacher for three years and has worked in the Madison County School District for 11 years.  She is married to Eddie Richie of Madison and has three children who attend Madison County Schools.

Iris Wesson

Mrs. Iris Sapp Wesson was born and raised in Madison County.  She attended Madison County Schools and graduated from Madison High School. She completed her Clerical Training at Valdosta Technical College in Valdosta, Georgia and Court Reporter Training at Lively Vo-Tech in Tallahassee, Florida.  She worked as a Court Reporter in Leon County and the Third Judicial Circuit of Florida for 13 years.  Iris has been employeed with the Madison County School District since 1997 as an ESE and Student Services Data Specialist.  

Iris has been married to David Wesson for 33 years and they have three children and three grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys keeping and playing with her grandkids, clearance rack shopping, and working in her yard.

Renae Williams

Renae Williams serves as the ESE Receptionist/Clerk, at the Madison County Central School, for the Madison County School District. She is a graduate of Suwannee County High School. Renae earned a degree in the nursing field but quickly discovered that the field of education and helping others had her heart. She has been working for the school district for 25 years in a variety of positions including Substitute Teacher, Paraprofessional and now Receptionist/Clerk. Renae is married to Jayson Williams, has three daughters, and 3 grandchildren who she adores. In her spare time, when she is not traveling, Renae owns and operates her own business, Leap of Faith Boutique.

Vivian Williams

Vivian Williams was born in Tampa, Florida.  She graduated from Tampa Bay Vocational Technical High School in Tampa.  Her field of study was Secretarial and Business Education.  She also went to North Florida Community College and earned 40 credits in Early Childhood Education.

Ms. Williams currently serves as an ESE Receptionist/Clerk for the Madison County School District at Madison County High School, James Madison Preparatory High School, Greenville Elementary School, Lee Elementary School, and Pinetta Elementary School and has worked in this capacity since 1999.  She has two grown children, Justin & Jessica, who graduated from MCHS and one grandson.

 

Coleen Agner

Coleen Agner currently serves as the ESE Staffing/Program and Transition Specialist of Exceptional Student Education for the Madison County School District.  She is a graduate of Taylor County High School.  She received her Bachelors of Science in Education from Valdosta State University.   Ms. Agner has worked in Education for 20 years with the last 5 of those years in the Madison County School District.   She is married to Chad Agner and has three children who keep her busy in her free time.
