NOTICE OF CHANGE OF PUBLIC MEETING AND OF A SPECIAL MEETING
                     OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF MADISON COUNTY, FLORIDA
 
            The School Board of Madison County, Florida announces that:
 
            1.         The School Board’s regular public meeting which was scheduled for April 18, 2022 at 6:00 pm has been rescheduled.  This regular public meeting, to which all persons are invited to attend, will now be held on April 19, 2022 at 6:00 pm, at the School Board Meeting Room, 210 North East Duval Avenue, Madison, Florida 32340; and,
 
            2.         The School Board will hold a special public meeting, to which all persons are invited to attend, on April 18, 2022 at 6:00 pm at the main courtroom of the Madison County Courthouse, 125 South West Range Avenue, Madison, Florida 32340.  The purpose of this special meeting is for the School Board to resolve an impasse pursuant to Section 447.403, Florida Statutes.  The impasse is between the School Board and the Madison County Education Association, AFT Local # 4375, FEA, NEA, Madison, Florida (Association) which is the bargaining agent for both (1) the Instructional Employees Bargaining Unit, and (2) the Education Support Professional Unit.  The impasse concerns both bargaining units.
 
            A copy of the agenda for each meeting may be obtained no earlier than 7 days prior to each meeting by writing to the School Board at 210 North East Duval Avenue, Madison, Florida 32340 or by calling Ms. Becky Bishop at (850) 973-5022.
 
            Pursuant to the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, any person requiring special accommodations to participate in any of the above meetings is asked to advise the School Board at least 48 hours before the meeting by contacting Ms. Becky Bishop at (850) 973-5022.  If you are hearing or speech impaired, please contact the School Board by calling 711.
 
            If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the School Board with respect to any matter considered at such meetings he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
